Washington's Tucker-Gangnes named Pac-12 men's soccer player of the week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pac-12 Conference office announced WASHINGTON senior defender Dylan Tucker-Gangnes as the Pac-12 Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the opening week of the season.
Tucker-Gangnes, a native of Bainbridge Island, Wash., led the Huskies to a 2-0 weekend to start the season. The senior defender scored a goal in both contests against Gonzaga and Cal Poly for a total of four points. Tucker-Gangnes tallied three shots on the weekend, while anchoring a backline that posted a shutout against Cal Poly and allowed just a goal against Gonzaga.
This is Tucker-Gangnes' first-career weekly honor and Washington's 25th all-time player of the week.
The Huskies hit the road for the first time this season traveling to Portland, Ore. to participate in the Portland Tournament. Washington faces Wisconsin on Friday, Aug. 31 at 4:30 p.m. PT and Cal State Bakersfield on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 12 p.m. PT.
Pac-12 Networks will feature the Huskies 10 times this season, including the matchup against Seattle University on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 12 p.m. PT. A total of 28 live men's soccer games will be featured on Pac-12 Networks.
