Pac-12 Networks winter schedules announced

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - As the fall season is in full swing, the Pac-12 Conference looks forward to the winter sports, including the start of the women's gymnastics, wrestling, and men's and women's swimming and diving seasons. Highlighting the seasons are the Pac-12 Championships in each of those sports, which will be televised on the new Pac-12 Networks. In addition to the championships, a combined 17 contests will be televised on the Conference's Networks.
The three seasons will culminate with each sports' respective Pac-12 Championships. The Championships season begins with the Pac-12 Women's Swimming and Men's and Women's Diving Championships, Feb. 27-March. 2, in Federal Way, Wash. Fans will have the opportunity to watch some of the best in the country and the world, as defending NCAA Champion CALIFORNIA, led by USA Women's Olympic Team head coach Teri McKeever, looks to defend its conference title.
The Pac-12 Wrestling Championships will be televised on March 2 from Tempe, Ariz. OREGON STATE looks to defend its title. The competition features some of the best in the country, as the Beavers, STANFORD and CAL POLY all placed in the top 10 at the NCAA Championships. An additional four regular-season meets from Pac-12 campuses will also be televised on the Networks.
The Pac-12 Men's Swimming Championships take place March 6-9. STANFORD will be going for its 32nd-consecutive league title, but will have defending NCAA Champion CALIFORNIA to contend with. In addition to the Bears' national title, the Cardinal, ARIZONA and USC all placed in the top seven at the championships. Four regular season men's and women's meets are also slated to be televised prior to the championships.
Not to be outdone, the Pac-12 Women's Gymnastics Championships on March 23 will also feature some of the top teams in the country, with four league teams advancing to the national championship weekend last year. UCLA, UTAH and STANFORD also reached the NCAA Super Six. The regular-season slate will also feature four regular-season meets to be broadcasted, as well.
The Pac-12 Networks will also showcase some of the member institutions best in men's water polo, men's volleyball and men's gymnastics, with a total of 14 regular-season competitions being televised. For more information on those games, visit the Pac-12.com schedule and www.mpsfsports.org.
