NCAA TOURNAMENT ROUNDUP

•The Pac-12 has placed at least one team in the College Cup in each of the last nine seasons (since 2003) and has produced two semifinalists on three occasions. During that span, the Conference has posted a winning record in the tournament. Additionally, the Pac-12 has been represented in four of the last five National Championship games, with two teams (USC and Stanford) taking home titles.

California (16-5-0) at No. 2 San Diego State (20-1-1)
California went down to the wire with Pepperdine in Saturday's first-round match, but a goal in the 87th minute launched the Golden Bears into the second round for the third time in the last four seasons. They will meet San Diego State, which boasts the nation's highest winning percentage, on Friday. The Aztecs dispatched Big West runner-up Cal State Northridge in the first round, 3-0. The winner of Friday's match will take on UCLA or Kentucky on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT.

Santa Clara (12-3-6) at No. 1 Stanford (18-1-1)
Stanford jumped on Idaho State early in its first round matchup, scoring the game's only three goals in the first half. The Cardinal, which extended its NCAA Tournament home-winning streak to 17 matches, has advanced to the second round of the tournament each of the past six seasons. Santa Clara edged Long Beach State, 2-1, in its first round matchup. Stanford has won seven straight over the Broncos, including a 6-1 decision in the season opener. The winner of Friday's match faces fourth-seeded Maryland or Denver on Sunday at 1 p.m. PT.

Kentucky (14-6-1) at No. 3 UCLA (16-2-2)
UCLA blanked Wisconsin for the second time this season, 1-0, to punch its second-round ticket. The Bruins have reached the second round of the tournament in each of the last 14 seasons. They will play Kentucky, who upended Tennessee Martin, 1-0, in its first round match. The winners of UCLA-Kentucky and California-San Diego State will meet in the third round on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT.
