AROUND THE PAC-12
• League-leading OREGON climbs to No. 16 in the AP poll, No. 19 in the Coaches poll. The Ducks move to 5-0 in Pac-12 play for the first time since they opened Pac-8 play at 5-0 during the 1973-74 season.
• UCLA and No. 6 ARIZONA meet Thursday in Tucson with the victor looking to keep pace with the Oregon Ducks. The Wildcats have won the last four meetings with the Bruins at McKale Center and 12 of the last 15.
• Also looking to keep pace in the Pac-12 race is WASHINGTON, which has a perfect road record in league play at 3-0. The Huskies meet Oregon Saturday at Matt Knight Arena where the Ducks have won 18 straight.
• When it comes to number of games played against each other, no set of teams can compare with the schools from the Pacific Northwest. The NCAA's top six in terms of total games played in a series are as follows (first meeting):

During the Washington road swing, UTAH's freshman class shot 28-of-53 (.528) from the field, 10-of-19 (.526) from three-point range, 13-of-19 from the free throw line (.684) to average 39.5 points, 15.5 rebounds and 12.0 assists... Freshman guard Brandon Taylor came off the bench to lead the Utes in both games in its road split of the Washington schools, averaging 16.0 points and 4.5 assists. In the loss at Washington State, Taylor posted 13 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 3-of-4 from three-point range, and added three assists. In the win at Washington, the Ute's first-ever road win in Pac-12 play, he scored a career-high 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-5 from three-point range, and added six assists. Prior to the road trip, Taylor had scored a total of 35 points in 12 games played this season (2.9 ppg).
USC interim head coach Bob Cantu notched his first win with a 69-68 win over Oregon State. In his two games at the helm of the Trojans, USC averaged 71.5 points. USC entered last week's action averaging just 63.8 ppg... Prior to last week's games, senior F Eric Wise was averaging 11.9 ppg and junior G J.T. Terrell was averaging 9.3 ppg. In a split with the Oregon schools, they averaged 17.5 ppg and 16.5 ppg respectively... Tough road ahead for the Trojans as their next three games are at Arizona State, Arizona and UCLA - those three have a combined 31-4 home court record.
At 5-0, OREGON is off to its best start in conference play since 1973-74. The sweep of USC/UCLA last week was the second LA sweep for Ducks in their last three road trips to Southern California... The Ducks are shooting 26-of-54 (.481) from three-point range over the last four games... The Ducks have relied on balance scoring this season as four different players have posted double digits in the same game 11 times this year, including in each of the last four Pac-12 games.
WASHINGTON STATE picked up its first league win of the season with a 75-65 win over Utah. Senior G Mike Ladd posted his best night as a Cougar, scoring 22 points thanks to a 5-of-8 performance from beyond the arc. Ladd has scored in double digits in each of the last six games, averaging 15.8 ppg during that span.
COLORADO junior F André Roberson posted his seventh double-double of the season, 32nd of his career, with 10 pts/11 rebounds at Washington. Roberson's 905 career rebounds rank eighth nationally among career active leaders, and fourth all-time at Colorado.
HOME SWEET HOME... Pac-12 teams sport a 100-29 (.798) home court record so far this season. ARIZONA and OREGON are perfect at home this season. The Ducks have run off 12 straight home court victories this season for their best home start since the 2001-02 season. Dating back to last season, the Ducks have extended their home-court winning streak to 18 games, which currently ranks tied for seventh in the nation. Arizona's home court streak stands at nine games.
