Reggie Miller's memories of the infamous short shorts
While Wednesday was a night the Bruins will quickly try to forget, UCLA alumnus Reggie Miller will likely always cherish the evening. During halftime of the Bruins' 75-71 overtime loss to crosstown rival USC, Miller's No. 31 jersey was retired and placed among the rafters at Pauley Pavilion. Following the on-court ceremony, the 2012 Naismith Hall of Fame inductee sat down with the Pac-12 Networks' Don MacLean and Ted Robinson. When it came time to roll some archival footage, Miller's focus quickly turned to the fashion faux pas that were short shorts.
While the skimpy shorts caused a few cringes (and a few more laughs), Miller spent most of the night emphasizing the fond memories he took away from his time as a Bruin and playing in the presence of the legendary John Wooden.
