Oregon freshman pitcher Cole Irvin proved himself on the mound Saturday night at PK Park in Eugene against the Huskies throwing heat with a career-high eleven strikeouts as he led his team to his first closeout game with a 6-0 victory over Washington.
Irvin threw the entire game and allowed only four hits and two runners past first base. The Saturday win completed the Ducks' three-game weekend sweep over the Huskies.
