Washington State's Marbut reprimanded
By the Pac-12 Conference
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The Pac-12 Conference has reprimanded Washington State's head baseball coach Donnie Marbut for an inappropriate public outburst toward a Pac-12 official following his ejection from the Cougars' game against Oregon on Sunday, May 5.
"While emotions can run high in competitive environments, Pac-12 coaches are expected to set a good example for our student-athletes and students," said Commissioner Larry Scott. "We have established feedback channels for coaches to discuss concerns about umpire decisions, and expect all coaches to follow that protocol and conduct themselves in a manner that will reflect credit on their university and the Conference."
