Pac-12 Networks announces on-air football talent for sophomore season

Rick Neuheisel, Ronnie Lott and Ted Robinson Lead Networks’ Talented Football Coverage Team for 2013 Season

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (July 23, 2013) – The 2013 season of college football coverage on Pac-12 Networks will once again feature a host of veteran broadcasters and Pac-12 standouts anchoring the networks’ live game and pre, half and postgame studio coverage. Pac-12 standouts Rick Neuheisel (UCLA), Ronnie Lott (USC), Jeremy Bloom (Colorado), Glenn Parker (Arizona) and Curtis Conway (USC), along with former USC assistant coach Yogi Roth return for their second season as part of Pac-12 Networks football analyst team. New this season, former NFL and University of Iowa defensive lineman Anthony Herron also joins the Networks’ corps of game analysts.

“We’re excited for another season of live game and studio coverage of Pac-12 football that is anchored by an experienced on-air broadcast team that brings a mix of broadcasting experience and Pac-12 football knowledge that our viewers can relate to,” said Lydia Murphy-Stephans, Pac-12 Networks President. “The addition of Anthony Herron as game analyst and expanding the roles of several of our returning voices helps advance our year two goal of providing more high-quality content and personalities to further the Pac-12 Networks brand.”

Herron adds Pac-12 Networks game analyst to an impressive list of current broadcasting roles. Since 2010, the former NFL and AFL veteran has called Arena Football games for NFL Network and CBS Sports. His college football broadcasting experience includes serving as a game and studio analyst for Big Ten Network and is currently a college football analyst for NBC Sports, covering events such as the US Army All-America Game and the Bayou Classic.

Broadcast veteran Ted Robinson returns to Pac-12 Networks this season and leads a group of trusted voices including Kevin CalabroJB Long and Roxy Bernstein calling the action on the Networks’ 35 live game telecasts.

The play-by-play/analyst teams for 2013 are as follows:

·         Ted Robinson and Glenn Parker

·         Kevin Calabro and Yogi Roth

·         Roxy Bernstein and Anthony Herron

·         JB Long and Jeremy Bloom

While Robinson and Parker reunite as broadcast partners for the second year, Bernstein and Long move into regular football play-by-play roles, pairing in the booth with Herron and Bloom, respectively. Roth, who contributed reports from the sidelines in 2012, has been elevated to game analyst alongside Calabro in 2013.

Game day on Pac-12 Networks’ this fall will kick off with a one-hour Pac-12 Football Pregame Show, hosted by Mike Yam alongside Neuheisel and Conway from San Francisco, and reports from Ashley Adamson. The trio returns for the halftime and postgame shows providing highlights, recaps and analysis of all the action around the college football landscape.

Pac-12 Playbook also returns for the 2013 season on a new day and time of Sundays at 9:00 PM PT with Yam, Neuheisel and Lott recapping all the action from the weekend and Pac-12 head coaches sounding off on their teams’ performance.
