DaVonté Lacy’s AIA Team Falls in Final Games

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – Washington State University men’s basketball junior DaVonté Lacy’s Athletes in Action (AIA) team dropped its final two games to the Jamaican National Team during its five-game series in Jamaica.

After starting the series 3-0, the AIA team finished 3-2. In the first game against the Jamaican National Team Friday, a 77-74 loss, Lacy had 3 points and dished out 4 assists while grabbing 5 rebounds. Josh Richardson (University of Tennessee) led the AIA team with 24 points and 4 steals, while Davon Marshall (Liberty University) and Anthony Gill (University of Virginia) each added 14 points.

In the final game of the tour Saturday, Lacy scored 7 points as the AIA team fell to the Jamaican National Team, 90-82, in overtime. Gill led the team in scoring with 23 points, adding 13 rebounds. Jake Barnett (Saint Louis University) and Raphael Akpejiori (University of Miami) each added 12 points.

In the five games Lacy averaged 6.0 assists and 5.0 points per game.
