Men’s Basketball’s Pac-12 and Television Schedules Announced
PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University men’s basketball will appear on television at least 28 times during the 2013-14 season, including 21 games on the Pac-12 Networks, commissioner Larry Scott announced Tuesday, along with the Pac-12 men’s basketball schedule. Fourteen of Washington State’s 18 conference games will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks, including its league opener, Thursday, Jan. 2 at Arizona. WSU’s game at Arizona State, Sunday, Jan. 5, will be shown on ESPNU, one of three league games on the network. The rest of the Cougars’ Pac-12 road games will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks, including, at Stanford (Wednesday, Jan. 15), at California (Saturday, Jan. 18), at Colorado (Wednesday, Feb. 5), at Utah (Saturday, Feb. 8), at Oregon State (Thursday, Feb. 20), at Oregon (Sunday, Feb. 23) and a rare Friday game at Washington (Feb. 28). The Cougars’ Pac-12 home opener against Colorado will be played at Spokane, Wednesday, Jan. 8, and will also air on the Pac-12 Networks, along with its Beasley Coliseum league opener against Utah, Sunday, Jan. 12. WSU’s home games against Oregon State (Wednesday, Jan. 22), Oregon (Sunday, Jan. 26), Washington (Saturday, Feb. 1) and Stanford (Saturday, Feb. 15) will also air on the Pac-12 Networks, while its home games against California (Wednesday, Feb. 12) and USC (Thursday, March 6) will join its ASU game on ESPNU. Washington State’s regular season-finale at home against UCLA, Saturday, March 8, will mark its only game on Fox Sports 1. WSU’s home nonconference schedule remains the same as previously released with all seven of the games on the Pac-12 Networks. The Cougars open the season against CSU Bakersfield (Friday, Nov. 8), followed with home games against Lamar (Saturday, Nov. 16) and TCU (Sunday, Nov. 24). The Cougars will host Pepperdine at Beasley Coliseum, Sunday, Dec. 15, before hosting San Francisco State at Kennewick, Wash., Wednesday, Dec. 18. WSU closes out its nonconference season with home games against UTEP (Saturday, Dec. 21) and Mississippi Valley State (Saturday, Dec. 28). Eight of the Pac-12 Tournament games will air on the Pac-12 Networks, with one quarterfinal, one semifinal and the championship game airing on Fox Sports 1. WSU’s three games at the Old Spice Classic will be televised on the ESPN Family of Networks, including its tournament opener against Butler on ESPN2, Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 28).
