#1 vs. #3 matchup kicks off men’s soccer Conference play

The Conference season begins this weekend for men’s soccer and looks to be as competitive as ever as Pac-12 teams continue to move up in the rankings, after league teams posted a 5-0 record in their final week of non-conference play... CALIFORNIA moved into the top spot in both the NSCAA and the Soccer America national polls for the first time in school history. WASHINGTON is also in the top five in both polls, coming in at No. 3/4, and UCLA rounds out the ranked league teams at No. 10/9... The opening week of Pac-12 play features a top-five matchup as No. 1 California hosts No. 3 Washington in Berkeley. The match will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks, one of four matches over the course of the weekend to be shown on the Networks... The Huskies will also travel to STANFORD to face the Cardinal on its home turf. Stanford’s Jordan Morris was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week after scoring both goals in the 2-1 victory over UC Santa Barbara. The Cardinal plays host to OREGON STATE on Sunday, which also hits the road to play against California... No. 10 UCLA and SAN DIEGO STATE face off against each other in their Conference opener on Saturday. The Aztecs enter the match after a weekend off, hosting their annual alumni match.
