Utah

We got a game for ya tonight on FOX Sports 1 (7 p.m. PT) with UCLA traveling to Salt Lake City in a good ole Pac-12 South matchup. Utah has done its job out of league since joining the Conference of Champions, but the Utes need a signature Pac-12 win. Luckily, the No. 12 Bruins are coming to town, so they have a big-time opportunity tonight to get that big-time victory.

UCLA

Ya know, UCLA hasn’t exactly played well in the state of Utah lately, so the Bruins are aiming to reverse the state of affairs as well.

USC

The Trojans hit the practice field for the first time in the post-Kiffin era, and Ed Orgeron feels like this is his shot. Best move Orgeron has made so far? Bringing desserts back to the training table. Gotta have dem chocolate chip cookies for real.

Arizona

The Trojans don’t take the field until a week from today, and the team they will face – Arizona – isn’t sure what to expect against USC and its new coach.

Oregon

We’re still more than two months away from a winner being named, but Marcus Mariota leads CBS Sports’ Heisman rankings at the moment, edging out Johnny Football.

Arizona State

Manti Te’o might have moved on to the San Diego Chargers and the overall numbers might be down for the Irish, but that Notre Dame defense is still tough enough to worry Arizona State.

Stanford

Elliott Almond of the Merc gives us a look at Shayne and Patrick Skov in their own words and the words of others. Bunch of good quotes. Actually, that’s more or less the whole article.

Washington

No. 15 in the nation, undefeated, big game on the road at Stanford? If you ask Keith Price, this is where the Huskies should be; getting the kind of attention they are from the media.

Washington State

Despite taking a big shot from Trent Murphy Saturday night, Connor Halliday is back practicing with the Cougars this week.

Colorado

He was pretty outspoken on the firing of Jon Embree, but former coach Bill McCartney is pleased with the Buffs’ progress under Mike MacIntyre. Colorado’s all-time winningest coach will be honored at halftime of this weekend’s home game against Oregon.

California

This is a pretty cool stat: Cal is the only Division I school with undefeated men’s and women’s soccer teams. The men are No. 1, the women are No. 11. HUGE game for Kevin Grimes’ men Sunday against No. 3 Washington.

Oregon State

Mike Riley and staff are off on the recruiting trail with the bye week, so we shift our attention to the hardwood in Corvallis, where the Oregon State men’s basketball team held its first practice of the season on Wednesday.

Hey, a bonus conference link! That’s because the Pac-12 is making its case as the best conference in the country over the SEC.
