Cal Defeats UC San Diego, 13-7, at SoCal Invite

IRVINE, CALIF. – Jumping out to a 5-1 first quarter lead, the No. 5 Cal men’s water polo team upped its record to 9-3 with a 13-7 victory over UC San Diego Saturday (Oct. 12) in the Golden Bears’ opening match of the SoCal Invitational in Irvine.

Stanford Rolls To UCI Semis

IRVINE, Calif. – Fourth-ranked Stanford men’s water polo was all business Saturday at the UCI Invitational, advancing to Sunday’s semifinal round with convincing victories over No. 14 UC Davis and No. 5 California.

No. 1 UCLA Opens SoCals with a 23-2 Win Over Pomona-Pitzer

IRVINE, Calif. — The No. 1 UCLA men's water polo team improved to 16-0 on the season with a 23-2 win over Pomona-Pitzer (3-13) Saturday morning in the first round of the SoCal Invitational at UC Irvine. Freshman Lovre Milos, redshirt junior Cristiano Mirarchi and juniors Paul Reynolds and Chris Fahlsing each scored hat tricks for UCLA as 11 different Bruins scored.

IRVINE, Calif. — The No. 1 UCLA men's water polo team improved to 17-0 on the season with a 12-3 win at No. 9 UC Irvine (11-4) this afternoon in the quarterfinals of the SoCal Invitational. Freshman Ryder Roberts scored a hat trick to lead UCLA as nine different Bruins scored.

No. 2 Trojans Surge Into SoCal Tournament Semis

NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. — The No. 2 USC men's water polo team surged into the semifinals of the 2013 SoCal Tournament with two strong wins today on the first day of competition. With five goals today, Trojan senior Nikola Vavic moved into a tie as USC's all-time leading scorer, now even with Juraj Zatovic with 220 career goals.
