Pac-12 men’s water polo scores for Sunday, Oct. 13
IRVINE, CALIF. – Cal water polo came back from a 6-5 halftime deficit by outscoring host UC Irvine, 6-3, in the second half on the way to an 11-9 victory over the Anteaters Sunday morning (Oct. 13) at the SoCal Invitational in Irvine. The Golden Bears (10-4) will now face UC Santa Barbara for fifth place at 3:25 p.m. Sunday.
IRVINE, CALIF. – No. 5 Cal water polo, behind three goals from junior Olympian Aleksa Saponjic, powered past No. 6-ranked UC Santa Barbara, 11-3, to place fifth at the SoCal Invitational Sunday (Oct. 13) in Irvine. The Golden Bears (11-4) finished the tournament 3-1 – defeating UC San Diego, 13-7, and falling to Stanford, 14-8, on Saturday – before recovering to top host UC Irvine, 11-9 and UCSB, 11-3, on Sunday.

IRVINE, Calif. — The No. 1 UCLA men's water polo team improved to 18-0 on the season with a 10-5 win over No. 4 Stanford (10-3) this morning in the semifinals of the SoCal Invitational at UC Irvine. Senior Chris Wendt, sophomore Danny McClintick and freshman Gordon Marshall each scored two goals to lead UCLA as seven different Bruins scored.
IRVINE, CALIF. — The No. 2 USC men's water polo team pulled off two big wins on the second day of action at the SoCal Tournament, beating No. 3 Pacific in the semifinals before taking down No. 1 UCLA with a comeback win in the title match today in Irvine, Calif. The win keeps USC as the reigning champs of the SoCal Tournament. The Trojans have now won back-to-back SoCal crowns to make it 10 SoCal titles in the past 11 years. USC improves to 17-1 overall with the winning effort at this year's tourney.
