No. 5 Cal Tops No. 6 UCSB, 12-9, in MPSF Tilt

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Led by three goals apiece from sophomore Mitchell Hamilton and junior Aleksa Saponjic, the No. 5 Cal water polo team defeated No. 6-ranked UC Santa Barbara, 12-9, Sunday (Oct. 20) in an MPSF league tilt in Santa Barbara. With the win, the Golden Bears improved to 12-4 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Cardinal Finishes Weekend Sweep

Stanford men’s water polo went on a 12-goal run to open up Sunday’s contest against UC Davis en route to a 19-5 win at Avery Aquatic Center. Alex Bowen led the fourth-ranked Cardinal (12-4) with five goals in the win, scoring four of those in the team’s five-goal second period.

Bruins Bounce Back with 16-2 Win at No. 16 Santa Clara

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The No. 2 UCLA men's water polo team bounced back after two consecutive defeats to post a 16-2 win this afternoon at No. 16 Santa Clara. The Bruins improved to 19-2 overall while the Broncos dropped to 10-9. Senior Aimone Barabino and freshman Gordon Marshall led UCLA with three goals apiece as 10 different Bruins scored.
