Women’s Golf Concludes Play At Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. The Oregon State women’s golf team concluded the three-day, 54-hole Stanford Intercollegiate in 14th place on Sunday.
The Beavers shot a 48-over 304-294-302--900 at the par-71, 6,130-yard Stanford Golf Course to finish 14th in the 16-team field, which featured 10 teams ranked in the top 25, including five of the nation’s top 10.
Oregon State got off to a hot start in the final round but struggled coming in and were unable to make any ground on the rest of the field.
“Today we really had a great first nine holes and were 1-under par,” Oregon State head coach Risë Alexander said. “The back nine was night and day from the front, however, and they really struggled coming in. They showed some great promise this week. They just have to take the positive from the experience and learn from the situation. We will definitely be talking about our mental discipline and focus as we prepare for the Pac-12 Preview.”
