UCLATravels to Galen Center for Preseason Men’s Volleyball Tournament

The UCLA men's volleyball team will travel to the Galen Center this weekend for the USC Fall Tournament, Nov. 8-9.

Host USC will be joined by Mountain Pacific Sports Federation opponents UCLA, Pepperdine, Long Beach State, Cal State Northridge, UC Santa Barbara, Stanford, Pacific, Hawaii and Cal Baptist, plus non-conference foes Lewis and Grand Canyon.

Admission is free. The Galen Center Pavilion is adjacent to the Galen Center, with the volleyball courts on the upstairs level.

On Friday at 5:30 p.m., UCLA plays Cal Baptist on Court 2, Lewis faces Cal State Northridge on Court 1, USC hosts Hawaii 1 on Court 3 and Long Beach State plays Hawaii 2 on Court 4.

At 7:15 p.m., UCLA plays Hawaii 2 on Court 2, Cal State Northridge meets Hawaii 1 on Court 1, and Long Beach State battles Cal Baptist on Court 3. USC will face Lewis on the Galen Center Arena’s main court immediately following the Women of Troy’s 7 p.m. Pac-12 home match against Oregon.

Saturday's competition begins at 9:45 a.m. with USC hosting crosstown rival UCLA on Court 1, Stanford meeting Grand Canyon on Court 2, Pepperdine playing Long Beach State on Court 3 and UC Santa Barbara facing Pacific on Court 4.

At 11:30 a.m., it’s Pepperdine against Pacific on Court 1, USC versus Grand Canyon on Court 2, Stanford against Lewis on Court 3 and Cal State Northridge versus Cal Baptist on Court 4.

The 1:15 p.m. matches are: UC Santa Barbara and Cal State Northridge on Court 1, Pepperdine and Hawaii on Court 2, Pacific and Long Beach State on Court 3 and Cal Baptist and Lewis on Court 4.

At 3 p.m. Stanford plays UCLA on Court 1, Grand Canyon meets Lewis on Court 2, USC faces Cal State Northridge on Court 3 and Hawaii battles UC Santa Barbara on Court 4.

The tournament concludes at 4:45 p.m. with Grand Canyon against Pacific on Court 1, Pepperdine versus UCLA on Court 2, UC Santa Barbara against Cal Baptist on Court 3 and Stanford versus Long Beach State on Court 4.

All matches will be the best of 3 sets, with the first 2 sets played to 25 points and the third set to 15 points. For matches that are decided in 2 sets, teams have the option of playing a non-counting third set
