Women’s Basketball To Unveil Championship Banners Sunday

Nov 7, 2013

BERKELEY – California women’s basketball will commemorate the most successful season in program history with a special banner ceremony prior to Sunday’s game against No. 2 Duke at Haas Pavilion.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to see the banner unveiling prior to the nationally-televised game between the No. 9/9 Golden Bears and the No. 2/2 Blue Devils, which is scheduled to tip-off at 3 p.m. The new banners will recognize last year’s team that went 32-4 and won a share of the first Pac-12 regular season title in program history with a 17-1 conference record before advancing to the NCAA Final Four in New Orleans.

In addition to the banner ceremony, fans are encouraged to wear gold to the game, which will also serve as a Cal Kids’ Day. Pre-game food trucks will also be available on Spieker Plaza.

Additionally, $1 general admission tickets are still available for Sunday’s matchup.

Single game, season ticket and mini-plan packages are available through the Cal Athletic Ticket Office, online or by calling 1-800-GO-BEARS.
