Arizona Women’s XC Best in the West

TUCSON – The University of Arizona Wildcat men’s and No. 1 women’s cross country teams ran in the NCAA West Regional on Friday in Sacramento, Calif.  The men ran 10,000 meters at Coal Creek Golf Course while the women ran 6,000 meters. The women’s team continued their undefeated season and won the NCAA West Regional, automatically qualifying for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind.

ASU Cross Country’s Houlihan Punches Ticket To NCAAs

SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Arizona State cross country’s junior Shelby Houlihan punched her ticket to next week’s 2013 NCAA Cross Country Championships in Terra Haute, Ind., as she finished second at the NCAA West Regional meet at the Haggin Oaks Golf Course.

Santisteban Qualifies For NCAA Cross Country Championships

SACRAMENTO – California junior Kelsey Santisteban placed fifth in the NCAA West Regionals on Friday morning at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Ind. on Nov. 23. The Golden Bear men, paced by senior J.P. Slater, finished 12th as a team and the women placed 13th overall out of 30 schools.  

Kipp Leads Buffs With A Runner-up Finish

RIVERDALE, Utah — University of Colorado senior Shalaya Kipp recorded her second straight runner-up finish at the NCAA Mountain Region Cross Country Championships on Friday, leading the No. 10 CU women’s team to a first-place finish and an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships. The top-ranked CU men also punched their ticket to the NCAA meet with a second-place finish, finishing just eight points behind Northern Arizona (61-69).

Cheserek Win Powers Ducks to NCAA Championships Bid

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Freshman Edward Cheserek claimed his third individual victory of the season to lead the Men of Oregon to a second place finish Friday at the NCAA West Regional Cross Country Championships. By virtue of their second place finish, the men automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind.

XC: Beavers Finish 15th of 32 at West Regional

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – With three of its five scorers posting 6,000-meter PR’s, the Oregon State women’s cross country team ran to a 15th-place finish out of 32 squads at the 2013 NCAA Cross Country West Regional Championships in Sacramento, Calif. on Friday afternoon.

Stanford’s Stunning Success at Regionals

SACRAMENTO – Big performances at the West Regionals on Friday lifted both the Stanford men’s and women’s cross-country teams into the NCAA Championships. The men won their fourth title in five years with a late charge and the women were a stunning second after entering the meet as a bubble team for an NCAA at-large spot.

UCLA Wraps Up NCAA Regional Action

SACRAMENTO – The UCLA men’s and women’s cross country teams wrapped up NCAA regional action with the Bruin men finishing sixth overall while the women placed 12th, Friday morning at the Haggin Oaks Golf Course.

Utah Cross Country Earns Eighth at NCAA Mountain Regional Championships

Ogden, Utah. — The Utah women's cross country team wrapped up action at the NCAA Mountain Region meet earning eighth place overall. Junior Rebekah Winterton captured the spotlight with a 10th-place performance that qualified her for the NCAA Championships.

Flood And Nelson Go Top-10 At West Regionals

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Katie Flood and Aaron Nelson continued their exceptional seasons with top-10 finishes to lead the Husky cross country teams at the NCAA West Regional Championships today. But it was a mixed bag for the Huskies in the team chase, as the women finished fifth and will need to await an at-large big for next weekend’s NCAA Championships, and the Husky men took ninth, leaving Nelson as a potential individual qualifier for nationals.

Gonzales and Roberts Lead Cougars at West Regional
