Warner Sets Early Tone In Sweep of No. 20 Golden Bears

Junior middle blocker Serena Warner of the Oregon volleyball team finished Friday night's match against Cal with a modest four kills, on 14 total attacks. The numbers don't tell the full story, though. Three of those four kills came in the first set, production the Golden Bears had to respect for the rest of the night. That opened things up for other Ducks, and the UO volleyball team went on to sweep No. 20 California at Matthew Knight Arena, 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.

Bruins Survive in Five at Washington State

PULLMAN, Wash. — Junior Karsta Lowe led the Bruins with 22 kills, while senior Mariana Aquino tied career highs with 17 kills and six digs and set a personal best with a .682 hitting percentage, as UCLA defeated Washington State in five on Friday at Bohler Gym. Set scores were 20-25, 25-12, 25-15, 21-25, 15-13.
