Cougars Host Horned Frogs Sunday
COUGARS CLOSE OUT NOVEMBER HOME ACTION SUNDAY: Washington State University men’s basketball (2-1) will host its final home game of November, Sunday, Nov. 24, when TCU (1-2) comes to town for a 3 p.m. tipoff at Beasley Coliseum.
• The game can be seen on the Pac-12 Networks, as Lamar Hurd and Rich Waltz have the call.

ABOUT WASHINGTON STATE
• The Cougars are 2-1 this season after suffering their first loss at the hands of Nov. 13/12 Gonzaga, Thursday, Nov. 21 at Spokane.
• WSU has notched victories over CSU Bakersfield (Nov. 8) and Lamar (Nov. 16).
• Junior DaVonté Lacy leads the team and ranks sixth in the Pac-12 with 21.0 points per game.
• Lacy is also tied for second in the league with 3.0 made 3-pointers a game and tied for fifth with 2.3 steals per game.
• Freshman Ike Iroegbu is second on the team with 13.7 points per game and ranks 20th in the Pac-12 and first among the league’s freshman in scoring.
• He is ranked 12th overall and fourth amongst freshman in the Pac-12 with a .591 field goal percentage (13-for-22).
• Iroegbu also ranks tied for 11th in the Pac-12 for free throw percentage (.846, 11-for-13), tied for 15th for 3-point field goal percentage (.444, 4-for-9) and tied for 15th for 3-point field goals made (1.3 made per game).
• Redshirt junior Royce Woolridge is adding 8.0 points per game and has 2.0 assists per outing.
• Longrus is tied for 11th in the Pac-12 with 1.3 blocks per game.
• Senior Will DiIorio leads the team with 5.3 rebounds per game, while his classmate D.J. Shelton is adding 5.0 rebounds an outing.
• Aside from Iroegbu, three other newcomers have seen action in all three games this season, redshirt junior Jordan Railey, who transferred from Iowa State, redshirt freshman Que Johnson, who missed last season due to NCAA rules and fellow true freshman Josh Hawkinson.
COUGARS VS. HORNED FROGS:
• Sunday is just the third all-time meeting between Washington State and TCU, as the series is tied at 1-1.
• The two meetings occurred in back-to-back seasons as both teams notched wins at home.
• In the first meeting, Nov. 30, 2002, the Cougars fell to the Horned Frogs, 86-83, at Fort Worth.
• In the second meeting, WSU defeated TCU, 73-52, Dec. 6, 2003.
WSU AGAINST THE BIG 12:
• TCU is a member of the Big 12 conference, along with Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech and West Virginia.
• WSU is 9-12 all-time against current members of the Big 12.
• The Cougars have faced 9 of the 10 teams in the league, with the exception being Iowa State.
• Washington State has hosted 5 of the current Big 12 schools at Beasley Coliseum in 7 different games...TCU will become just the second current Big 12 member to play multiple games at Pullman (the other being Kansas State).
• The last Big 12 school to come to town was Oklahoma State in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT), March 21, 2011, a WSU victory.
• This year marks the seventh-straight season the Cougars will face a member of the Big 12 and the ninth time in the last 10 years.
• There is a possibility that WSU faces another Big 12 school this season as it could take on Oklahoma State in its second game of the Old Spice Classic over Thanksgiving weekend.
LACY ON PACE FOR RECORD BOOKS:
• Junior guard DaVonté Lacy is on pace to become the 34th Cougar to reach 1,000 career points, and could do it in his junior season.
• With 640 points, Lacy needs 360 more points to reach 1,000 in his career, meaning if he stays healthy and plays 32 games, he’ll need to average 13.5 ppg.
• Right now Lacy is averaging 21.0 points per game…if he keeps up the average, he could accomplish the feat in WSU’s 21st game this season.
• Lacy is also climbing up the record books for 3-pointers made, currently 16th with 114 career 3-pointers.
• He is on pace to finish in the top-6 by the end of his career at WSU, averaging 1.7 made 3-pointers a game.
• He is currently 5 3-pointers out of 15th, as Blake Pengelly holds the spot with 119 made from 1997-2000.
• Lacy is ranked is ranked 20th in the WSU career record books with a .357 3-point field goal percentage.
IROEGBU SCORES A FRESH 20:
• Ike Iroegbu scored 20 points at Gonzaga, Dec. 21.
• He became the first Cougar freshman to reach the 20-point plateau since Reggie Moore scored 24 points as a freshman, Jan. 23, 2010.
• Iroegbu is also the first freshman to reach 20 points in a nonconference game since Marcus Moore scored 25 against Montana, Dec. 12, 2000.
LAST OUTING:
• WSU faced its first ranked opponent this season in its first road game, falling to Gonzaga, 90-74, Thursday, Dec. 21 at McCarthey Athletic Center.
• Freshman Ike Iroegbu scored a career-high 20 points…he had 15 of his points in the first half.
• Iroegbu was 6-for-11 from the field and 2-for-3 from 3-point range.
• He added a career-high and team-high 4 assists.
• The Cougars have had a player reach the 20-point plateau in each of the three games this season (Lacy in the first two).
• DaVonté Lacy continued his streak of scoring in double figures in each game this season as he finished with 14 points.
• With 3 3-pointers, Lacy moved into 16th in the WSU career record books with 114 career 3-pointers made.
• D.J. Shelton scored a season-high 10 points, his previous high was 7 points in the season opener against CSU Bakersfield.
• Junior Longrus continued his streak of at least one block in each game this season with one block.
• WSU dropped to 48-218 all-time against opponents ranked in the Associated Press Top-25 and 2-8 against ranked Gonzaga teams.
PERFECT AT FRIEL IN NOVEMBER:
• With its win over Lamar, Nov. 16, WSU improved to 48-0 all-time in the month of November at Friel Court.
• The Cougars have won 48-straight November games in Pullman and are 48-1 (the loss came before the Cougars moved into Beasley Coliseum).
• WSU’s only loss in Pullman in November came against Colorado State, Nov., 30, 1962, by a score of 77-47.
• The Cougars play just one more home game in November when TCU comes to town, Sunday, Nov. 24.
KEN BONE GETS 400TH CAREER WIN:
• With WSU’s win over Buffalo, Dec. 21, fifth-year head coach Ken Bone got his 400th career win as a head coach and now has 407 wins.
• He has 72 wins at WSU, had 77 in four years at Portland State, 253 victories in 12 seasons as head coach at Division II Seattle Pacific and 5 wins at Division III Cal State Stanislaus...he’s been a head coach for 21 seasons.
• Bone has 149 career wins in his ninth season as a Division I head coach.
MORE ON BONE AS COUGAR HEAD COACH:
• Bone holds a 72-66 (.522) record with Washington State and already has more wins than 11 previous Cougar men’s basketball coaches.
• He also has more wins than the last four head coaches, three more than Tony Bennett (2006-09, 69-33), 36 more than Dick Bennett (2003-06, 36-49) and 41 more than four-year head coach Paul Graham (2000-03, 31-79).
• Bone’s .519 winning percentage (70-64) prior to this season marks the second-best by a WSU head coach in his first four seasons...only Jack Friel (.624, 63-38) had a better record in his first four seasons.
• Bone’s 70 wins are the most by a Cougar head coach in his first four seasons.
• With 72 wins, Bone is the sixth-winningest head coach in Washington State history.
COUGARS SIGN TWO:
• Head coach Ken Bone signed two student-athletes to NLIs during the early signing period, guard Tramaine Isabell and forward Jermaine Morgan.
• Tramaine Isabell (6-1, 170, G, Seattle, Wash./Garfield HS) spent his freshman through junior years at Lakeside High School and currently attends Garfield High School where he’ll play under head coach Ed Haskins.
• Jermaine Morgan (6-8, 215, F, Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young HS/ Moberly Area CC) currently attends Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Mo., after transferring from Odessa College in Texas following his freshman year.
