Pac-12 women’s soccer scores for Friday, Nov. 22
When Stanford went into overtime against South Carolina Friday night in the round of 32 of the NCAA women’s soccer tournament, the Cardinal didn’t panic. The squad had been there before — six times before, in fact — and played like it, winning 1-0 on a Taylor Uhl goal 1:29 into the extra period. The Cardinal (15-5-1) will stay at UCLA’s Drake Stadium in its Sweet 16 match Sunday against none other than conference foe UCLA.
It shouldn’t be this easy for UCLA, not in the NCAA women’s soccer tournament. The Bruins swept Kentucky, 3-0, Friday evening at home in the postseason’s second round. Two of the goals came from defender Caprice Dydasco, the first two goals of her career. Second-seed UCLA (19-1-2) takes on Stanford on Sunday.
