UCLA Gymnastics Hosts Preseason Pawliday Party on Dec. 8

The six-time NCAA champion UCLA Gymnastics team will host its annual Meet the Bruins Fan Fest on Sunday, Dec. 8. The "Pawliday Party" will take place at the John Wooden Center at 2 pm. Admission is free.

Doors to the Wooden Center open at 1:15, at which time holiday cookies and cider will be served.

The Bruins will compete in several blue vs. gold challenges throughout the event, including skills challenges on all four events. At the conclusion of the event, the team will sign autographs in the Wooden Center lobby. UCLA team cards will be distributed for the autograph session.

Ticket information, as well as support group membership information, will be available throughout the afternoon. Tickets can be purchased on site or online now at UCLABruins.com. Season tickets, which are floor level reserved seats, are $40 for five meets. Single-meet tickets range from $5-12.

The 2014 Bruins feature returning All-Americans Olivia Courtney, Sophina DeJesus, Danusia Francis, Samantha Peszek and Sydney Sawa and a talented freshman class led by former U.S. National Team member Hallie Mossett, 2012 British Olympian Jennifer Pinches, World Championship competitor Mikaela Gerber and Level 10 national champion Angi Cipra. The Bruins are coached by UCLA Athletics Hall of Famer Valorie Kondos Field. 

UCLA begins its season on Saturday, Jan. 11 vs. defending NCAA champion Florida in Pauley Pavilion.
