Randall’s 64-yard interception return for a touchdown was a turning point in the victory as it came on the Wildcats second drive of the second half after UA opened the third quarter with a 7-play, 75-yard touchdown drive. Randall’s touchdown stretched ASU’s lead back to 23 points, 37-14.
Gonzalez, a true freshman from Deer Park, Texas, accounted for 16 points in the win as he connected on all 10 of his kicks, including all three field goals and all seven extra points.
