MEDIA ADVISORY: Pac-12 and ASU to unveil Technology Center
PAC-12 AND ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY CREATE TECHNOLOGY CENTER TO BENEFIT THE ASU PREPARATORY ACADEMY AND AREA YOUTH
WHO: Pac-12 Deputy Commissioner Kevin Weiberg, Arizona State Senior Associate AD Rocky Harris, ASU Preparatory Academy CEO Beatriz Rendon, Arizona State Student-Athletes, Arizona State Spirit Squad and Sparky
WHAT: A ribbon cutting ceremony and the official unveiling of a new technology center to benefit the ASU Preparatory Academy and local youth.
The Pac-12 has teamed up with the 2013 Pac-12 Football Championship Game Host, Arizona State University, for this event. By providing technology equipment and a creative learning environment, the Conference aims to create an atmosphere designed to inspire young people to succeed in the classroom while also leaving a legacy of gratitude in the Phoenix and Tempe communities.
Student-athletes and students from ASU, Pac-12 Conference staff, and others will participate in the makeover event throughout the day.

NOTES: B-roll opportunities of Kevin Weiberg, Rocky Harris, Beatriz Rendon, and ASU student-athletes in the technology center will be available beginning at 3:45.
A performance by the ASU Spirit Squad and Sparky will open the ceremony, followed by remarks from Weiberg, Harris, Rendon and ASU student-athletes.
Following the event, USA Football, the sport’s national governing body, will host a FUNdamentals Clinic at the school. The clinic teaches introductory passing, catching and running skills in an exciting and energetic non-contact setting. All skills and drills are based on USA Football's Player Progression Development Model, ensuring children learn the sport and gain its inherent benefits in a fun and age-appropriate way. The Pac-12 is a proud partner of USA Football and its Heads Up Football program for a better, safer game.

The 2013 Pac-12 Football Championship Game is on Saturday, December 7, and will feature Pac-12 North champion Stanford vs. Pac-12 South champion Arizona State at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe. Kickoff is 5:45 p.m. MT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN. Tickets are available through TheSunDevils.com and pac-12.com/tickets.
