Pac-12 men’s water polo scores for Saturday, Dec. 7
One minute, the Stanford men’s water polo team was on the cusp of a NCAA title match just over three minutes later, the Cardinal were staring at a one-point loss. Pacific drilled two goals in the final 3:19 of play Saturday in the NCAA semifinal match to overtake Stanford and clinch the 11-10 victory at Avery Aquatic Center. It marked the Cardinal’s third straight loss to the Tigers this season.
The USC men’s water polo team’s rematch with St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday was closer than its 13-4 victory back in October ... but not that much closer. In the NCAA semifinals, the top-seeded Trojans cruised past the Terriers, 10-3, at Stanford's Avery Aquatic Center to advance to Sunday’s NCAA title match. USC (27-4) was powered by goalie James Clark’s 13 saves and two goals each from Nikola Vavic and Jeremy Davie.
