Karsta Lowe Earns AVCA Honorable Mention All-America

SEATTLE, Wash. - Junior Karsta Lowe was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-America on Wednesday. It is the first All-America award for Lowe and the 46th All-America award in UCLA history.
Lowe, who has also been named AVCA All-Pacific South Region First Team and All-Pac-12 First Team over the last two weeks, led the Bruins with 4.31 kills and 4.68 points per set. The junior was also second with a .290 hitting percentage to go with 0.61 blocks and 0.75 digs per set. Lowe had double figures in kills in 29 of 30 matches, including each of the last 24 contests of the year, and ended the regular season ranked 25th in the nation in kps and 32nd in pps. Lowe surpassed the 20-kill mark eight times and hit at least .400 in a match on seven occasions.
