Video: Jahii Carson attacks the rim in win over Utah

Jan 23, 2014

If Arizona's Aaron Gordon is the king of the dunk, then Arizona State's Jahii Carson is the czar of the lay-up.

As part of a 79-77 win over Utah, the Sun Devils star guard showed why he was on some pre-season All American teams, attacking the rim with alacrity to accumulate a game-high 23 points. Seven of Carson's 10 made field goals were baskets converted in the paint, many of them acrobatic lay-ups.

The Sun Devils found themselves down early in this game, but built a lead coming out of the locker room in the second half by jumping on the shoulders of their sophomore guard. Carson hasn't been the most efficient player on offense this season, but when he is on he is one of the toughest players to defend in the Pac-12, and entire country.
