The week in social media photos: Jan. 28-Feb. 3

Feb 4, 2014

Basketball is one of my favorite sports because, as compared to the other sports, it provides the most consistently awesome moments. The fluidity of basketball gives us unmatchable drama in the form of Justin Cobbs fading into the corner to sink the nation's best team. With that poetically said, wait until you see what the Oregon State rowing team posted this week. It's as beautiful as a game-winning jumper. The week:

The Drum Major is immortalized inside Heritage Hall and it looks awesome.

In that lead where I wrote about the Justin Cobbs jumper? It led to this.

These guys are glad Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow.

This is another version of rushing the court.

Promise made a clutch stop on this night and also leads the Devils in steals.

Running has that beautiful solidarity pretty darn well captured in this Cougar photo.

Atop the firs, Travis Wear hit the game-winner late to get UCLA the road victory.

I told you this picture was going to be beautiful.

Stanford is a noted place of higher learning, so a few Cardinal tuned in to
learn from one of the best, Bill Walton.

The Dawgs won 70-58 at UCLA, and evidently it was something pretty
special to Coach Neighbors.

Imagine a giant Buffalo walking into your office with roses from a secret
admirer. Just think about it.

It wouldn't be The Week without a mention of stunning West Coast weather!
