Halfway to Pac-12 gymnastics championships

All eight Pac-12 gymnastics teams highlighted this week with stellar performances and season-high team scores. Notable performances include UTAH defending its undefeated record, Samantha Peszek scoring the Pac-12’s first perfect 10 of the season so far, and STANFORD head coach Kristen Smyth earning the 200th victory of her coaching career ... In the Top 25 polls, the Pac-12 remains dominant with all eight teams ranked. Utah is at No. 4 for the fifth week in a row with UCLA coming in at ninth. Stanford climbed two spots to No. 10, and OREGON STATE jumped three spots to the No. 13 position. ARIZONA is next at No. 17 with ARIZONA STATE, WASHINGTON, and CALIFORNIA at No. 22, No. 23, and No. 24 spots, respectively ... The second half of the season will feature tough competition. Highlighting the upcoming week, Arizona will travel to Dallas, Texas on Saturday, Feb. 15 to compete in a quad meet at 7 p.m. CT versus No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 3 LSU and Kentucky. Be sure to tune into Pac-12 Networks this weekend to watch No. 9 UCLA return home to take on the No. 23 ranked Huskies. The action starts on Sunday Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. PT. Also on Pac-12 Networks, No. 4 Utah will visit No. 10 Stanford on Monday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. ... Weekly Pac-12 honors include Gymnast of the Week Tory Wilson of Utah, Specialist of the Week Samantha Peszek of UCLA, and Freshman of the Week Hallie Mossett of UCLA.
