Women’s Golf Set to Compete at Bruin/Wave Invite

THIS WEEK

The Washington State women’s golf team travels to Tarzana, Calif. for the Bruin/Wave Invitational Mar. 3-4, 2014 hosted by UCLA and Pepperdine…shotgun start at 8 a.m. PT on Monday and tee times at 7:30 a.m. PT on Monday…at the 2013 Bruin/Wave Invitational, the Cougars finished eighth overall (+80, 944) and senior, Mallory Kent who finished tied-27th 232 (+16) carded the lowest score for WSU.              

THE COURSE

The fifth annual tournament will be held at El Caballero Country Club…track will play at par-72 and 6,173-yards for the tournament.

THE FIELD

Joining Washington State in the tournament field of 17 teams will be Pepperdine, UCLA, Arizona, BYU, California, Cal State Northridge, Colorado, Long Beach State, New Mexico State, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, San Diego State, UNC Wilmington, UNLV, USC, and Washington.

REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE

Competing for the Cougar women will be Mallory Kent, Kristen Rue, Monica Huang, Rachel Lewis, and Cherokee Kim.

“We are excited to go down to LA and play in the Bruin/Wave Invitational. We are looking forward to competing and are looking to build off of the growth we showed at the Westbrook Invitational.”
