Mar 5, 2014

BOULDER – At the conclusion of the University of Colorado women’s tennis match against No. 3 UCLA on Sunday, March 16, the CU coaching staff and student-athletes will host a Campus Kids’ Day Clinic.

The match against UCLA will begin at 10 a.m. at the South Campus Courts.

The Campus Kids’ Days will take place for 90 minutes at the South Campus Courts and is designed to expose more junior players (and their parents and coaches) to college tennis varsity team matches. College coaches will select a team match that junior players and tennis fans in the local community are encouraged to attend.

Attendance, refreshments, and promotions are free for all attending juniors! Campus Kids’ Days and any promotions are open to ALL attending (so that any attending prospects ARE NOT receiving extra benefits).

In addition, a variety of promotional activities for fans such as raffles, exhibition matches, fast serve contests, autograph signings.

The benefits of the clinic increase player development in getting more junior players (the future college stars) on college campuses at a young age—exposing them to the fun and excitement of college tennis. Increasing the home fan base by filling the South Campus courts with juniors, their parents, and coaches, in addition building a stronger community outreach and advocacy between coach and players and the local tennis community.

The Campus Kids’ Days clinic will not take place if the CU/UCLA match is moved indoors due to inclement weather.
