No. 4 Women’s Golf Competes in Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, S.C.—The fourth-ranked Arizona State women’s golf team heads to Hilton Head, S.C., Mar. 7-9, to compete in the Third Annual Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of South Carolina.
The 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-71, 6,142-yard Long Cove Golf Club. The 17-team field features six of the top 10 teams in the country, including Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona State, Duke, Oklahoma, and Stanford.
Defending Darius Rucker Intercollegiate champion Noemi Jimenez sits atop the Sun Devil lineup. Jimenez is fresh off a career-low 66 and tying for third place overall at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, where ASU finished third as a team.
The Sun Devil lineup also features freshman Monica Vaughn, who tied for 10th at Northrop Grumman, junior Emilie Alonso, freshman Saki Iida, and senior Justine Lee. Senior Dani Ordonez will be playing in the tournament as an individual.
Last year, the Sun Devils finished fourth at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. Jimenez won the individual title with a record-setting 54-hole score of 4-under 209 (72-69-68).
