Tickets Free For Cal Students For Wednesday’s NIT Game

Mar 18, 2014

BERKELEY – Thanks to head coach Mike Montgomery and the California men’s basketball program, student tickets will be free for the Golden Bears’ game against Utah Valley in the first round of the NIT on Wednesday.

“Students are what this is all about,” Montgomery said. “You love to build a really strong student base of kids that love to come to basketball games, have fun and get a little study break. I am glad we were able to help with that. Hopefully we get a great turnout to watch our guys and they get involved in the excitement.”

Cal (19-13) will face the Wolverines (20-11) at 7:30 p.m. (PT) at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, Calif. The basketball program has provided the financial support to allow Cal’s tremendous student fan base to attend NIT games for free for as many contests as the Bears host in the postseason tournament.

To obtain free tickets to Wednesday’s game, students MUST present their Cal 1 Card at the ticket office at Haas Pavilion on Tuesday or Wednesday prior to the game.
