Video: Cal's Jessica Howe on broken toe, Pac-12 Championships

Cal gymnast Jessica Howe is the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week after putting up a career-best 39.350 all-around against UC Davis Saturday in Berkeley. Her record performance included a beam title (9.85) and a career-high 9.85 on floor.

Maybe the most impressive of all? She accomplished all of the above with a broken toe. Talk about toughness.

Howe, who garnered the weekly award for freshmen for the second time this season, talks with Pac-12 Networks' Sarah Kezele about shutting out physical pain and her personal goals for the upcoming Pac-12 Women's Gymnastics Championships hosted by Cal.

Read more about Howe and this week's other award winners in the Pac-12 Conference's press release.
