2013 and 2012 College World Series games coming to Pac-12 Networks, joining Pac-12 Classics series

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (April 8, 2014) – This weekend Pac-12 Networks will air enhanced replays of the 2013 and 2012 College World Series championship-clinching games. Game two of the 2013 CWS win by UCLA will air Friday, April 11 at 10:00 p.m. PT and Arizona’s final 2012 victory will air Sunday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m. PT. Both games will succeed the live UCLA-Arizona baseball game.

UCLA and Arizona’s NCAA title wins join the slate of Pac-12 Classics games. The series replays memorable games and legendary contests from the Pac-12’s illustrious history, broadcast with their original play-by-play and enhanced with new interviews and sound bites. The Pac-12 is a storied baseball conference with 28 NCAA titles and 96 College World Series appearances since 1947.

Fans can re-watch the Bruins’ dominating 8-0 win over Mississippi State and reminisce with interviews from head coach John Savage, closer and Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year David Berg and right fielder Eric Filia, who recorded five RBI in the clinching game. This was UCLA’s 109th NCAA Championship and first baseball title game.

Arizona’s 2012 NCAA Championship-clinching 4-1 victory against the two-time reigning champion South Carolina makes its Networks’ debut on Sunday. The enhanced version features interviews from head coach Andy Lopez, closer Matt Troupe and infielder Trent Gilbert. Troupe’s two strikeouts and no runs allowed in 1.1 innings and Gilbert’s three RBI in the final game helped the Wildcats to their fourth NCAA title.
