Video: Trent Sessions, former equipment manager, takes the field for Colorado
Last fall, Trent Sessions was spending his football season in the equipment room at Colorado, dishing out gear to players every day. At Saturday's spring game, he was one of the guys actually wearing the equipment.
Sessions, a sophomore from San Diego, was added to the Buffaloes roster just before spring football began, according to the Boulder Daily Camera, after spending a season working on the team's equipment staff. It's not as if he's a stranger to the gridiron, though; as a senior at Rancho Bernardo High School in 2011, he threw for 1,958 yards and 17 touchdowns.
He's a clear #3 behind incumbent starting quarterback Sefo Liufau and sophomore backup Jordan Gehrke, but that didn't stop him from slinging a few darts in front of the crowd that gathered at Folsom Field to get a first glance at next year's squad.
If you look at Sessions' Twitter account, it appears that his attitude is geared toward being thrilled simply to get the chance to get on the field.
