WALNUT CREEK, Calif. —  OREGON infielder Mitchell Tolman has been named Pac-12 Player of the Week and WASHINGTON STATE left-handed pitcher Joe Pistorese has been tabbed Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week for April 7-April 13, the Conference office announced Monday.

Tolman, a Lake Forest, Calif. native, propelled Oregon to a 5-0 record over the week as he went 9-for-15 (.600), hitting safely in all five games and collecting multiple hits in three of those. The sophomore drove in at least one run in four games, including a pair of two-RBI games, and collected 6 RBI total. He added six runs scored while recording a .684 on-base percentage and .733 slugging percentage. Tolman currently owns a team-best batting average of .352 for the Ducks and ranks ninth in the Conference.

This is Tolman’s first-career Pac-12 Player of the Week honor and Oregon’s 12th all-time selection. He is also the first position player to earn the honor for the Ducks in 2014.

Pistorese, a junior from Kalispell, Mont., pitched his second-straight complete game to lead Washington State past No. 5 Oregon State in a series opening 4-1 win on Friday night. The left-hander limited the Beavers’ high-powered offense to just one run on four hits while striking out four. He became the first Cougar to hurl back-to-back complete games since Adam Conley in 2011 and is the first to have three complete games in a season since Chad Arnold in 2010.

Pistorese picks up his first-career Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week nod and the 34th overall for the Cougars. Additionally, this marks the first time Cougars have won consecutive Conference weekly honors since Jim Horner (Player), Robert Ramsay (Pitcher) and Jered Fowler (Player) earned the awards in three consecutive weeks in 1996.

The Ducks and the Cougars will face off for a three-game series in Eugene from Thursday-Saturday. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. PT on Thursday night and all three games will be live-streamed on pac-12.com. WSU will make a stop in Spokane to take on Gonzaga in a Tuesday night contest before heading to Oregon for the weekend.
