Women’s Golf Prepares for Pac-12 Championships
The Washington State women’s golf team travels to Corvallis, Ore. for Pac-12 Championships Apr. 25,-27, 2014…tee times begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday…last year at the championships WSU finished T-Eighth (+45, 909) with senior, Mallory Kent leading the way for the Cougars finishing tied for 18th (+6, 222).
The championships will be hosted by Oregon State and held at Trysting Tree Golf Club…track will play at par 72 and 6,256 yards.
Joining Washington State in the championships will be the rest of the competitive Pac-12 Conference teams including Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, USC, and Washington.
REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE
Competing for the Cougar women will be Mallory Kent, Kristen Rue, Nani Yanagi, Rachel Lewis, and Monica Huang.
HEAD COACH KELLI KAMIMURA SAYS
“We have worked hard all year and have yet to have a standout event that showcases the skill level and dedication of the players on this team. This week our goal is to have our best week of the year and leave WSU's mark at the PAC-12 Championships. While we are competing we will fight to stay in the present and focus on one shot at a time. This team is tough and I look to make it our week to shine.”
