WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Five men’s teams, including top-seeded USC, were selected for NCAA men’s tennis regional play, while six women’s teams were picked for the women’s bracket. Four of the six women’s teams earned a ranking in  the bracket, led by No. 5 UCLA.

On the men’s side, UCLA was the other team to receive a ranking, coming in at sixth in the selections. UCLA and USC will therefore host the opening rounds. CALIFORNIA, STANFORD and OREGON also received at-large bids to play in the tournament. USC, selected as the No. 1 overall seed, grabbed the automatic bid after winning the Pac-12 Men’s Tennis Championship last week.

In women’s play, No. 5 UCLA leads the charge, followed by No. 6 CALIFORNIA, No. 11 STANFORD and No. 16 USC. All four schools will host the first round of the regional play. ARIZONA and ARIZONA STATE round out the women’s team selections, both traveling to the South to kick off NCAA play.

The NCAA Championships will be held May 16-20 at Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga., hosted by the University of Georgia.
