UCLA's Lee named Pac-12 women's golfer of the month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Alison Lee of UCLA has been named the Pac-12 Women’s Golfer of the Month for April, the Pac-12 announced today.
 
A freshman from Valencia, Calif., Lee has had an outstanding rookie campaign. According to Golfstat, she is currently ranked first in the country. She was a consistent counter all year, as her three individual wins helped to lead UCLA to three team wins as well. The Bruins never finished lower than sixth this season.  
 
Lee’s biggest accomplishment of her first year on campus came most recently as she took home the individual medalist honors at the 2014 Pac-12 Championships in Corvallis, Ore. In 27 collegiate rounds, Lee is 33-under par and has a counter percentage of 100%. She finished in the top 10 in eight out of the nine tournaments in which she participated. Competing as an amateur, Alison also played the final two rounds of the LPGA's Kraft Nabisco Championship in two-under par.
 
UCLA is currently ranked No. 2 in the latest Golfweek national rankings. Other Pac-12 teams listed among the Top 10 include No. 1 USC, No. 4 Stanford, No. 6 Arizona State, No. 7 Washington, and No. 8 Arizona.
 
This is UCLA’s second golfer of the month recipient this season and Lee’s second career golfer of the month award.
