Video: Honorary Husky throws out ceremonial first pitch

Exactly one week ago it was a pair of Super Bowl heroes combining to throw out a ceremonial first pitch at a Husky baseball game. Tonight, it was a different kind of hero on a different UW field.

13-year old Hannah Dehut, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2011, was on the field to throw out the first pitch before the Huskies softball team took on Arizona. Dehut, from Graham, Washington, has become an inspiration for so many, including the Washington softball team, who have made her an honorary member of the team and have given her a locker in the team's locker room.

Hannah's presence tonight was even more meaningful with the month of May representing Brain Tumor Awareness Month. The Huskies took things a step further by wearing their grey jerseys for the "Go Gray in May" campaign to support brain cancer research. Check out the video below to see Hannah Dehut fire in the first pitch with her parents and the Husky softball family proudly watching.
