Women’s Golf Trio Earns Conference Honors

TUCSON, Ariz. University of Arizona women’s golf saw three of its players earn academic honors from the Pac-12 Conference on Thursday with the announcement of the annual accolades.

Rising senior Kendall Prince was named Pac-12 Second-Team All-Academic. She holds a cumulative GPA of 3.57 while majoring in marketing. In 2013, she posted a stroke average of 74.58 while competing in 11 tournaments. She earned one top-10 finish and one top-20 finish with a season-low round of 69.

Rising senior Andrea Vilarasau was named Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention. She holds a cumulative GPA of 3.41 as an industrial engineering major. She competed in nine events in 2013 and posted a stroke average of 75.33. Vilarasau finished in the top 10 twice and the top 20 twice.

Rising senior Manon Gidali was named Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention. She holds a cumulative GPA of 3.09 as a pre-business major. She was Arizona’s top finisher at the NCAA Regional and NCAA Championships in the month of May. She shot season-low rounds of 67 and 68 while playing at the NCAA Championships, propelling her to a top-10 finish in Tulsa.
