Cross Country Announces 2014 Schedule

TEMPE, Ariz.—The Arizona State cross country teams announced the 2014 schedule on Thursday, which features ASU’s first home meet since 2010 and a trip to Oakland for the 2014 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships.

ASU has eight meets scheduled this fall, four taking place in the state of Arizona. The Sun Devils will bring back their home meet, the ASU Invitational, on Oct. 24, which will round out the slate of in-state meets.

On Sept. 6, the Sun Devils will open the season in Flagstaff at the George Kyte Invitational, and then compete in Tucson at the Dave Murray Invitational on Sept. 19. The third meet scheduled in state is Mesa’s Thunderbird Classic on Oct. 11.

ASU will return to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Roy Griak Invitational on Sept. 27, and will also compete at the Wisconsin Invitational in Madison, Wisc., on Oct. 17.

The 2014 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships will be in Oakland, Calif., on Oct. 31, hosted by California, and will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks on a tape delay.

Stanford will host the NCAA West Regional meet on Nov. 14, and the 2014 NCAA Cross Country Championships are set for Nov. 22 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
