Video: Oregon Ducks come equipped with two-sport stars in 2014
The Oregon Ducks never seem to have a shortage of dynamic athletes on their roster. In 2014, however, they may be taking things to a whole new level.
You may remember Devon Allen from his time on the track this past spring, where he had a record-breaking season, capturing titles at the USATF Outdoor Championships and the NCAA outdoor finals.
Johnathan Loyd is best known for his basketball exploits, where he led the Ducks in assists and averaged seven points per game in the 2013-14 season. He was also named the Pac-12 Tournament's Most Outstanding Player in 2013 as he led the Ducks past UCLA for the conference title that year.
Now, these freak athletes take their skills to the gridiron and will help to make up for the loss of wide receivers Josh Huff to the NFL and Bralon Addison to injury. Pac-12 Networks' Mike Yam and Rick Neuheisel caught up with the two-sport stars while taping "Football Training Camp: Oregon" in Eugene. Check out this video to learn which sport has a tougher training camp according to Loyd, and how Allen splits his time between the track and the grass.
