Olympic gold medalist Amy Van Dyken-Rouen honored before CU-CSU game

Olympic gold medalist swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen was honored before kickoff at the Colorado-Colorado State game in Denver Friday night. The six-time gold medalist severed her spine in an ATV accident in June but is on the road to recovery, having taken her first steps (with the assistance of a walker and a machine) since the accident last week.
Van Dyken-Rouen swam at Arizona and Colorado State in college and is married to former Colorado and longtime Denver Broncos punter Tom Rouen (who actually started his collegiate career as a Ram). Somebody’s going home sad...
