Five women's basketball games to appear on ESPN
SAN FRANCISCO - Five Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Games have been selected to be televised across ESPN networks, including the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament championship game from KeyArena in Seattle, which is scheduled for Sunday, March 8 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
STANFORD will be a part of the 24-hour College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon on ESPN2, hosting defending NCAA Champion Connecticut on Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET. It will be a rematch of last year’s NCAA Tournament semifinal between the teams in which the Huskies won en route to winning the national title. The Cardinal and Huskies have met at least once every season since 2007.
Three Pac-12 Conference matchups are also slated for March and February, including a pair of Sunday games. CALIFORNIA is traveling to ARIZONA STATE on Feb. 8 for an ESPNU tilt at 1 p.m. PT/ 4 p.m. ET The Bay Area rivalry on Feb. 22 between the Golden Bears and Cardinal at Stanford is slated for ESPN2. On March 1, OREGON will host Stanford at 1 p.m. PT/4 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
All ESPN network telecasts will also be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 or Xbox One to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
Pac-12 women’s basketball is coming off a successful season where five teams earned NCAA Tournament bids, the most since 2006. Stanford claimed a 13th-straight Conference regular-season crown, but USC claimed its first-ever Pac-12 Tournament title achieving the difficult feat of winning four games in four days to claim the crown.
Additional Pac-12 women’s basketball television selections on the Pac-12 Networks will be announced at a later date. Conference teams received an unprecedented amount of exposure during the 2013-14 campaign with a league-record 100+ games being televised by the Conference’s networks and ESPN.
