Oregon Adds Three to 2014-15 Men’s Basketball Staff

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men’s basketball staff will be one of the most experienced in the country with the additions of Mike Mennenga, Robert McCullum and Allen Morill.

"We feel really good about these individuals,” said head coach Dana Altman. “The experience and basketball knowledge that they will add to our staff is outstanding, but also I think they will relate really well with the players and help us build our program both this year’s team and for the future.”

Combined with Altman, current assistant coaches Tony Stubblefield and Kevin McKenna, and director of operations Josh Jamieson, the Ducks will boast a collective 150 seasons of basketball knowledge on their bench.

Mennenga, who joins the staff as an assistant coach, brings nearly 20 years of coaching experience to sidelines. Most recently, the native of Rantoul, Ill., was an assistant coach at Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. He has also served as an assistant coach at Illinois-Chicago, Providence, Iowa State, Buffalo and Maine.

Mennenga earned his associate's degree from Vincennes University in 1990 and his bachelor's degree in finance from Morehead State in 1993, where he was a member of the basketball team.

With head coaching experience at both Western Michigan and South Florida, McCullum joins the staff as assistant director of operations. He brings more than three decades of basketball expertise to the Ducks.
In addition to his stints as head coach with Western Michigan and South Florida, McCullum has been an assistant at Florida, Illinois, Kansas State, Georgia Tech, South Alabama, Samford, Southern Illinois, San Francisco and Central Florida.

He also served as the Nigerian National Team head coach in 2007.

The Birmingham, Ala., native earned his bachelor's degree at Birmingham-Southern College in 1976 and his master's degree from Alabama State in 1980. He played two seasons at Seminole Community College in Sanford, Fla., was the team captain as a sophomore and earned his associate's degree there in 1974.

Morill takes over as assistant conditioning coach and offers Pac-12 experience for Oregon’s players, having played at Arizona State from 2003-2006. After graduating from ASU in 2006 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies/education, he served as director of player development/assistant director of operations at North Texas.
