AROUND THE PAC-12...

Perfect on Saturday... The Pac-12 remained perfect on Saturday in non-conference action, going 15-0 through the first two Saturdays of the season…The Pac-12 has outscored its non-conference opponents by collective margin of 915-529 (average score 41.6-24.0)…USC looks to continue the Pac-12’s impressive record in the eastern time zone when it travels to Boston College. Since 2010, the Pac-12 is 10-3 in the eastern time zone.

Pac-12 Offenses Grounded?... While the reputation for Pac-12 offenses is to air it out, the league’s rushing attack has been prominent in the early going this season. Six teams are averaging better than 200 yards rushing per game, led by ARIZONA STATE’s 345.0 average and 10 rushing TDs. ASU’s ground game was bolstered by Junior D.J. Foster’s 216 rushing yards in Saturday’s win at New Mexico. Foster leads the league, averaging 181.5 yards per game. Despite the departure of the Pac-12’s leading rusher in Ka’Deem Carey (157.1 ypg), ARIZONA is second in the league with 288.0 yards per game.

QBs at the Next Level... While the Pac-12 has eight quarterbacks on the Davey O’Brien preseason watch list, there were eight quarterbacks from Pac-12 members who received the starting nod on opening day in the NFL. That’s the most among all other conferences. Following the Pac-12’s eight starters, the Big Ten and SEC each had five, followed by the ACC (4) and Big 12 (3). In total, the Pac-12 has 13 signal-callers in the NFL. Only the ACC (17) and SEC (14) have more quarterbacks in the NFL. Here are the Pac-12’s NFL quarterbacks (starters in bold):
