Men’s Basketball Announces Schedule
CORVALLIS, Ore. – An exciting 2014-15 schedule, featuring 17 games at Gill Coliseum and a new tournament in Las Vegas, highlight the beginning of the Wayne Tinkle era for Oregon State men’s basketball, as dates and opponents were announced Monday by the first-year head coach.
Oregon State is offering an exclusive #Commit2Wayne ticket plan that provides fans with season tickets for a flat $199 (tickets were $364 last season). The price will gradually step up the following seasons ($249, $299, $349) but remain affordable, and there is no obligation to commit to all four years. Season tickets will be $349 next year and beyond for fans who do not take advantage of this unique opportunity this year.

The 2014-15 schedule features 21 games on the Pac-12 Networks, four on the ESPN family of networks and three on Fox Sports 1. The contests at Portland and Quinnipiac are expected to be televised and will be announced at a later date.
The Wayne Tinkle era begins officially at Oregon State on Friday, Nov. 14 when the Beavers open the 2014-15 campaign against the Rice Owls at Gill Coliseum. OSU will host Corban (Tuesday, Nov. 18) and Oral Roberts (Friday, Nov. 21) at Gill in preliminary games for the MGM Grand Main Event before traveling to Las Vegas for contests against Oklahoma State and Auburn or Tulsa.
Oregon State and Oklahoma State open the MGM Grand Main Event Heavyweight bracket at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, while Auburn and Tulsa will face each other later that evening. The winners of the two contests will play in the championship and the losers in the consolation two nights later on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
The December schedule includes five home games and road contests against Portland (Saturday, Dec. 6 in Portland) and Quinnipiac (Sunday, Dec. 21 in Hamden, Conn.). Mississippi State (Saturday, Dec. 13) and DePaul (Thursday, Dec. 18) will visit Gill Coliseum for the first time ever, while UCSB (Tuesday, Dec. 30) will make the trek to Gill Coliseum for the first time since 1986 in the Beavers’ final game before Pac-12 play.
Mississippi State (SEC) and DePaul (Big East) play in two of the nation’s top conferences, which sent a combined seven teams to the NCAA Tournament last season. Oral Roberts advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2006, 2007 and 2008, while UCSB earned back-to-back trips to the Big Dance in 2010 and 2011.
The Pac-12 slate begins on Saturday, Jan. 3 with a trip to Eugene to face Oregon in the 343rd Civil War presented by PacificSource Health Plans, The Oregon 529 College Savings Network, McDonalds, Spirit Mountain Casino and Your Local Ford Stores. The Beavers and Ducks will meet again in the regular-season finale on Wednesday, March 4 at Gill Coliseum.
Oregon State will open home conference play against the Arizona schools with the Sun Devils making the stop in Corvallis on Thursday, Jan. 8 and the Wildcats, a preseason top-five team, visiting Gill on Sunday, Jan. 11.
The Beavers will go for a second consecutive home win over UCLA on Thursday, Jan. 22 and a third straight victory over USC on Saturday, Jan. 24. The Washington schools come to Corvallis the first week of February, while Utah (Thursday, Feb. 19) and Colorado (Saturday, Feb. 21) return to Gill Coliseum for the first time in two years.
The Pac-12 Tournament will be held in Las Vegas, Nev., for the third consecutive year, beginning on Wednesday, March 11 with all games being played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The Beavers will host Western Oregon in an exhibition game at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 at Gill Coliseum.
